Around 5:48pm Saturday Evening, Stations 1 and 4 were activated for reports of a tree falling on a bobcat with a male trapped inside, located on Gaskin Road near Helios Court, in the Station 1 Response area.

Car 2 [D/C Bailey] arrived shortly after dispatch and confirmed that the male was trapped in the bobcat cab, however was reporting that he was not injured. Ladder 1 [Lt Bailey], Rescue 4 [Lt Quinn], and Car 1 [Chief Brown] all arrived shortly after Car 2.

Rescue 4 and Ladder 1 began shoring the vehicle and the large log to prevent either from moving while crews began removing the cage and restraints within the bobcat. Utilizing multiple different tools, including our winches, jacks, and Holmatro Rescue Tools, the patient was successfully removed after approximately 40 minutes, and walked to a waiting NOVA Ambulance for evaluation.
