Transit Bus Fire

At 0633hrs MCFD Station 4 & 1 were activated for the report of a bus on fire at Soule Rd & Bitternut Ln. E21 on duty responded to supplement Battalion 1 equipment. C-3 (Deputy Chief Crispin) arrived with the rear of a transit bus on fire just north of the rail road tracks on Soule Rd. E21 (Capt. Zevotek) arrived shortly after and deployed a 1 3/4" hand line to the interior of the bus to confine and extinguish the fire. E41 (Lt. Watson) arrived and opened the rear windows for ventilation. E11 (Lt. Schweitzer) assisted crews on the exterior. Units extinguished fire in the engine compartment with minor extension into the rear of the bus.  BC-1 (Battalion Chief Bailey) had operations, C-3 had command. Units cleared in under an hour.
