MCFD Firefighters Raise Money for Burn Foundation of CNY

Throughout the month of April, twenty-five members of the Moyers Corners Fire Department competed in a mustache contest to raise money and awareness for the Burn Foundation of Central New York. The Burn Foundation of CNY is a non-profit, 100% volunteer-based organization committed to burn support, awareness, and prevention.  Last year, firefighters from the Moyers Corners Fire Department raised $5,600 through their own mustache contest. This year the contest was opened up to all emergency services and the general public. This year sixty-six men from throughout Onondaga County participated in the mustache contest, with Moyers Corners having the largest number of competitors. So far, over $8000 has been raised by all of the competitors and the number continues to grow. Great job to everyone participating in the contest.
